Job Description

The Sous Chef position at Estefan Kitchen Design District assumes responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine and leads culinary staff for successful kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will also ensure effective operation of the kitchen by directly supervising culinary staff to precisely, consistently and safely deliver guest food orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

* Guest Satisfaction

* Staffing - Training and Personnel Development

* Financial - Effective back of the house Management

* Safety Procedures, work environment, overall appearance of back of the house

* Food Safety - Health inspection guidelines

* Ordering, receiving, purchasing, certification, food preparation and quality

Qualifications:

  • 4 + years of current Upscale Dining Sous Chef experience
  • Culinary Degree or equivalent experience
  • Passion for food and cooking techniques
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
