Must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the area's policies and procedures This position is classified "at risk" for possible occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc.) PREFERENCES High school diploma or equivalent training or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent activities in walking, lifting, bending, squatting and twisting. The associate will be required to sit for up to one hour a day, stand for four to six hours a day and walk for one hour a day . The individual must be able to lift twenty to fifty pounds and reach work above the shoulders. The associate must have eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity. The individual must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range. The individual may be exposed to other occupational hazards such as burns, electrical hazards, cuts, falls, strains and steam burns. The individual will also be exposed to heat and cold temperatures in the kitchen and storage area. The position requires excellent verbal skills to perform daily tasks.
