Serves drinks to guests in a timely fashion and attentive to guests, making them feel welcomed at all times. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Observes guests to respond to their needs. Follows alcohol awareness procedures regarding company's responsible beverage service, monitors guest consumption, and intervenes as needed according to guidelines. Takes beverage orders and communicates it to bartender. Assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests. Serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to casino guests. Requests ID from customers when legal age is questionable. Removes empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to bar or kitchen. Keeps service area stocked and cleaned. Provides fast, exceptional service and receives satisfaction comments on internal shops. Handles money according to procedure and secures all monies at the end of each shift. Maintains quick and prompt service while maintaining a smile. Maintains round times of 20 minutes or less on Casino Floor for drink service. Carries full trays of no more than 20 drinks on tray. Adheres to department and property policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia. Serves as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at guest and public relation functions. Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor. Resolves service problems according to guidelines. Provides personalized service and uses guest name. Speaks positively when talking with guests and co-workers. Promotes casino events and programs. Accepts consequences of not adhering to departmental standards, which may include discipline up to and including termination. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be 21 years of age. Previous experience as a waitress, preferable in a similar environment. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests Possess excellent guest service skills. Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English. Able to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Able to work flexible hours and days. Also able to work banquets and special events. Know or able to learn tray service and cocktail ingredients. Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by Hard Rock policy. Able to stand and walk for up to four hours wearing one-inch heels. Able to work in a fast paced and often crowded environment. Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Must project a professional and positive image. High energy level. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position. B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc. C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart?
