As a Barback Set- Up, you will: Shift: Sunday, Monday 12pm- 8:30pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday 4pm- 12am Pay: $14.00 per hour WE LOVE OUR WORK. Clean various bars as assigned or according to rotating schedule. Clean dishwasher and drains; clean service stations, including drains, floors and mats, trash cans, counters and cabinets, soda fountains, coffee machines, ice bins, boots, speed racks, and walk-in coolers. Maintain pump room by organizing liquor, juices, and soda stock and cleaning syrup hoses, nozzles, shelves, liquor trees, and floors. Responsible for dispersing glassware to proper bars and outlets. Ensure accuracy of bar stock received from warehouse compared to order sheets and facilitate delivery of bar stock to specific bars. Assist in major breakdown and re-assembly of bar's stock and setup. BRING US YOUR BEST. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license. Job Summary: Participates in the performance of tasks related to the receipt, production, preparation, cooking, packaging, and storage of food to insure the production and delivery of food which meets the nutritional and educational needs of the students in the school district. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Cleans, cuts, and cooks various types of food including meats, pastas, sauces, vegetables, breads, desserts. Performs set up activities such as retrieving stock, gathering ingredients and setting up equipment. Performs food preparation activities such as assembling recipe/menu items, washing and cutting fruit, vegetables, meats, opening canned goods, mixing ingredients. Cooks and prepares according to menus or instructions. Cleans and inspects supplies, equipment, appliances, and work areas to insure cleanliness, and functional operation. Performs tasks related to serving food, stocking salad bars, serving lines, milk and juice containers, etc.; fills serving trays, measures and monitors quantities served to ensure appropriate and sufficient amounts; maintains appropriate food temperatures. Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment; wipes and washes equipment and surfaces as necessary to maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment. Sweeps, mops and cleans floors, walls, ceilings and other work areas as required. Operates kitchen tools, supplies and equipment and performs basic routine maintenance as necessary. Operates hand trucks, carts, levers, and other tools and equipment to move food, supplies and equipment. Compiles, prepares and maintains records and paperwork on food use, preparation steps, storage, dates, etc. Assists in the inventory of supplies and equipment; monitors usage of inventory and requests orders as needed. Operates various manual and powered industrial food preparation equipment such as steam kettles, stack and convection ovens, food slicers, mixer, choppers and grinders. Performs closing activities such as returning food to stock, refrigerating or freezing foods, storing leftovers, dismantling and putting away equipment, dishes, utensils, etc. Adheres to policies and procedures and all applicable regulatory standards governing food handling and preparation in large institutions. Works collaboratively with other staff to ensure food is prepared and delivered in adherence to established schedules, menus and timelines. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Education, Training and Experience: HSD or GED is preferred. Must have minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working in food preparation, storage and/or serving. Certificate and License Requirements: Must have (or obtain after employment) ServSafe certification Salary/Terms/Benefits: 184 day contract year; 4 hours per day minimum (may work up to 6 hours per day dependent upon staffing hours earned by school assigned).
