JOBSUMMARY:Responsible for all aspects of the bar ranging from preparation to service. Ensures that supplies and stock are at sufficient levels to accommodate business demands during their shift. Provides guidance to the Apprentice Bartender as well as mixing and serving drinks to customers during their shift. Accounts for all stock and supplies used. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients such as wine, liquor and related bar service to guests at assigned stations.Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks and charge receipts.Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change.Possesses a keen sense of timing and is capable of discreetly speeding up or slowing down his/her station as necessary.Resourceful with beverages, fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs.Setup service items at the assigned ventory supplies at the bar at the beginning of their shift and requisition additional items as indicated byBar standards.Clean any spillage at the bar throughout the shift.Take and serve cocktail orders.Accept payment for cocktails as required.Count down register drawers and complete summaries.Log stock used during the shift.Maintains the appropriate appearance of the bar in accordance with county health and department standards.Ensures that all service items and stock is prepared for the shift.Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the customers.Treats customers with courtesy and respect.Follows all applicable safety procedures.Is at all times appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.Additional related duties as requested.
