Land Nutrient Management
LNM Farm Supervisor ? South Meadows (rural Sullivan County) E08.
DESCRIPTION: Performs and/or directs the safe and effective application of lagoon effluent to maintain system at manageable levels and coordinates efforts of Land Application personnel consisting of multiple crews and custom applicators. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to any combination of the following tasks to ensure compliance, reduce liability, maintain grounds and complete special projects:
? Ensuring maintenance of land application equipment is completed and documented in a timely fashion
? Maintaining required State and Company certifications
? Ensuring all sampling is completed and submitted in a timely and accurate method
? Ensuring all reports and field notebooks are completed and submitted in a timely and accurate method
? Ensuring proper and timely completion of work orders for assigned area
? Maintaining copies of documents on the farm to ensure that all EMS, MDNR and Company requirements are met
? Following biosecurity
? Training and developing employees
? Developing, submitting, implementing and carrying out approved farm plan
? Participating in and supervising special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination are required. Candidates must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups. Knowledge of database, internet, spreadsheet, word processing software and email is required. The qualified candidate is required to have A level CAFO certification or have passed the exam. A valid drivers? license is required. Class D Wastewater certification and Class A CDL are preferred.
