GENERAL FUNCTION Support and develop the dispensary team, promoting and guaranteeing premium and professional eyecare experiences with every patient. Manage all facets of the dispensary, including but not limited to the daily operation of the optical shop, including leading the optical team through changes, high level personal sales performance, expense and budgetary controls, and inventory controls. Ensure achievement of Vision Associates and practice goals in a single or multi-unit $1M+ optical dispensary MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivates and leads a dispensary staff that will embrace a patient-centric approach to provide unsurpassed patient experiences, every time. Demonstrates superior product and process knowledge. Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed patiect care to every patient, every time. Develop and maintain the Vision Associates business relationship with clients to achieve mutual goals while managing all facets of dispensary operations. Leads team through difficult or complex tasks through established coaching methods. Inspire team building through individual development plans to promote an environment of personal growth and accountability while leading through effective performance management to ensure goals are consistently being met or exceeded. Anticipates problems before they occur and explores underlying reasons for recurring problems; goes beyond symptoms to get to a root cause and strives to develop long-term solutions. Supports team in delivering key performance indicators. Acts as a catalyst for change within the practice, supporting company initiatives to include new technology, processes, and continued improvement. Foster positive working relationships with the practice doctors and clinical staff and an advocate for Vision Associates. Listen and respond immediately with an appropriate level of concern to all patients and practice issues. Analyze, solve, and correct customer service issues. Ensures all Company approved safety programs are implemented and maintained. Works weekends and evenings in support of the business needs (varies by location). Adheres to attendance and daily time keeping requirements. Handles scheduling and coverage for their location. Ensure staff training, coaching and development are utilized for every dispensary employee Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Consistently maintains proper dress code. Performs other functions as assigned by the supervisor or as business needs. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS HS diploma/GED ABO certification or applicable state licensure Strong customer service and optical retail experience Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise or ability to master in short timeframe Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, and other software applications Strong communicating skills (written, verbal, listening) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1+ year supervisory experience in an eyecare environment Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. Job Description Summary The Patient Dining Assistant will provide meal assistance, including meal selection, service and retrieval, to patients on a daily basis based on physician's diet orders.
