Responsibilities Contact manufacturers for authorization to return non-stock items Contact manufacturers for authorization to return overstock items Assist the purchasing and receiving departments when issues arise from corporate accounts payable personnel Use computer reports to identify dead and/or surplus inventory for possible vendor retur Assist the other returns department personnel to identify and dispose of dead and/or surplus inventory through vendor returns File defective goods claims with reps or manufacturers as required Instruct warehouse personnel when and where to return defective or non-stock items Keep close watch on returned goods in the warehouse that have not yet been processed, so as to maintain control of both the material and the paperwork Follow-up with vendors or reps on return goods authorizations or credits not received on a timely a timely basis Process customer returns ensuring return reasons and restocking fees are correct in a timely fashion Segregate inbound material into stock merchandise or return to vendor Keep the filing of the paperwork from the receiving department (packing lists) and purchase order copies Maintain the return goods area in a orderly fashion Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Office and/or General Manager Qualifications Prior return goods and invoicing experience desirable Computer knowledge and skills, especially as it relates to inventory, and the ability to learn First Supply LLC's business system Good organizational and communication skills Ability to read, speak, understand and write English Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure Physical Requirements Strenuousness Rating: Medium duty Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching and handling Frequent/constant use of keyboard Frequent talking and hearing Constant use of near vision Job Location and Exposures Activities occur mainly inside where there is exposure to moving vehicles Occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions Equipment Used Computer, keyboard and mouse Copy machine Fax machine Telephone First Supply LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
