Whether you’re biking down the scenic drive, or traversing through the Virgin River into the Narrows, the majesty of the red rock walls will inspire you.  We're hiring an Accounting Manager to join our team at Zion National Park Lodge!  The Details: Start Date : Summer 2023 Position Type:  Year Round   Wage Range:  $61,000 - $65,000/year DOE Housing & Meal Costs:  Complimentary meals and single-status housing Responsibilities: Follow and enforce all policies, procedures, and service standards. Supports Zion's controller.  Prepare the weekly reports and specific assigned duties. Prepare the daily cash deposit. Reconciling all accounts. Research with management, auditors, vendors and other departments. Recording and maintaining physical inventories. Complete assigned period-end reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Training and supervising Accounting clerks. Complete duties and responsibilities of employees as necessary. Requesting vendor statements and invoices as needed. Audit and payment of expense reports. Maintain an accurate filing system. High level of attention to detail and a strong emphasis on accuracy. Confidential handling of workplace issues as well as all areas of the General Accounting Office. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while on duty and in dealing with employees. Qualifications: Accounting degree required or comparable work experience. Strong communication and people skills. Supervisory skills. Strong analytical skills. Motivational, organizational, and time management skills. Knowledge of general office procedures. Office machine skills, especially PC experience. Experience with Excel, Word, and Lawson GL. Able to work for the majority of the time sitting at a desk. Walking, standing, and bending are required when documentation is to be put into or retrieved from filing cabinets.  Lifting and transporting up to 25 pounds is required for record storage.
