Our Front Desk Agents provides excellent customer service to all members and guests, representing the Club with professionalism. Registers hotel guests, renders bills, receives cash and credits payments, handles phone calls, and processes incoming and outgoing mail.
This is a high visibility position that interacts daily with members, guests, employees, vendors, and various representatives from the community. Part of your job performance requires that you maintain a positive attitude and make a real commitment to competence, job knowledge, pride, professional appearance, courtesy, initiative, and excellence in customer service. You are expected to address issues with an attitude of cooperation and to resolve problems professionally.
What You'll Get To Do
Greet everyone entering the Spokane Club in a professional, friendly manner, with a high level of customer service, and assist them with their requests
Professionally administer incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and redirecting when appropriate
Use club software to create and manage hotel reservations
Comply with special requests whenever possible
Stay informed about Club-related information and communicates it professionally and enthusiastically.
Thoroughly understand and follow proper credit, cash-checking, and cash handling policies and procedures
Understand and monitor room status information, including room locations, type of rooms available, and room rates
Coordinate room status update by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early-ins, special requests, etc.
Manage room keys and follows security control procedures
Operate Front Office equipment, such as ID card creator, mail machine, fax, copier, parking gates, etc.
Process member/guest check-ins and check-out
Process mail, packages, and messages
Coordinate guestroom maintenance work with engineering
Report unusual occurrences or requests to the Hotel Operations Manager
Know and follow all safety, security, accident prevention, and emergency policies and procedures
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk, lobby, and coat check areas
Act as bell person/concierge when necessary
Other duties as assigned
The Spokane Club is the premier recreation and business club in the Inland Northwest. It was founded in 1890 and has over 2,400 active memberships representing about 6,500 individual members. The Spokane Club's Clubhouse is a 1910 historic landmark designed by the noted architect Kirtland Cutter, and its adjacent athletic facility includes racquet ball courts, pool, basketball courts, and a fitness facility. The Valley Club's large athletic facility includes fitness, pool, and tennis leagues and tournaments. The club offers combined comprehensive amenities, including 44 hotel rooms, eight banquet rooms seating up to 225, 120-seat bistro style restaurant and bar, two deli/espresso bar cafes, child care and youth facilities, nine locker rooms with sauna and steam rooms, six indoor and four outdoor tennis courts, and five group exercise rooms.

High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18
Ability to stand for a full 8 hour shift

Previous Front Desk experience in a hotel preferred

These are kids. They will make you laugh, cry, and want to sigh all within a five minute window! No two hours are the same. You never know what to expect and have to always be on your toes. Must be flexible in all ways... able to change plans, make adjustments, work extra hours to help out. Willing to get paint in your hair and dye on your hands. We are not looking for someone to stand on the sidelines and watch but someone that will get into the mix and enjoy these kids.
Duties and Responsibilities
Report to work on time, in proper attire, and ready to spend energy with many children of varied ages
Greet every child and parent, assist in getting child settled and involved with others
Supervise parent sigh in and out for their children
Change diapers, potty train, and feed babies/children as needed
Be involved with children, doing art projects and playing games
Move around room, assist with children in various areas continually keep toys out of walk ways
Be willing to clean up bathroom messes and floor spills.
Sweep and mop floors, wipe off and sanitize work area including toys and furniture
Answer phone and fully complete all requests, such as reservations
Keep supervisor informed of inventory, forms needed, and supplies that may be low
Report any accidents or illnesses to supervisor for both child and employees
Have full understanding of emergency procedures
Attend all staff meetings and in-house training
Be prepared to acquire proper certifications - CPR & First Aid and BBP training
Be willing to substitute for other employees on an availability basis
Be willing to work beyond usual shift for occasional Junior Program events
Monthly billing for all childcare charges
18 years or older
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience providing care for children of various ages
The ability to pass a criminal background check
First Aid and Infant CPR certified (or willing to acquire during employment)
Ability to work unassisted at times
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position

Knowledge of sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball is helpful
Employee is in frequent contact with members, guests, and coworkers; a high standard of customer service is required as is the ability to work both independently and as a team in a positive manner.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, and pick up infants and children. The employee is occasionally required to talk and hear. Perform cleaning and light maintenance functions in the hotel and athletic facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Vacuum, mop, dust, stock supplies, trash handling, wash windows, shampoo carpets, clean restrooms/locker rooms/hotel rooms depending upon Club needs. Experience preferred but not required (will train).

Locations and Shifts
Positions needed at both our downtown Riverside Avenue and valley E 4th Avenue locations. Must be flexible to work shifts early morning to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
