Tribute Eatery & Bar in Coralville, IA is gearing up for patio season. We're looking for full-time and part-time Host and Food Runners to join our team. Whether you're looking for a seasonal job or looking to stay on the team all year, we have openings. Pay for Host/Food Runners: $8.10 per hour + tips, tipped out nightly Schedule: 11am to 3pm shift with full-time or part-time hours based on your availability. Other duties as assigned Job Description: Greeting and Seating Guests: Warmly welcome guests as they arrive and thank them as they depart. Manage the seating rotation to ensure efficient use of tables and minimize wait times. Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus. Reservation Management: Answer phone calls to assist guests with making reservations: Maintain an accurate record of reservations and manage the seating plan accordingly. Accommodate special requests and preferences to the best of your ability. Customer Service: Provide attentive and personalized service to guests throughout their dining experience. Address any concerns or complaints from guests in a professional and timely manner. Anticipate guests' needs and proactively offer assistance or recommendations. Communication: Effectively communicate with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operation. Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen team. Collaborate with servers to coordinate seating and manage guest flow. Dining Area Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors. Set up tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and condiments. Monitor restroom cleanliness and replenish supplies as needed. Upselling and Promotion: Familiarize yourself with menu items, specials, and promotions to make recommendations to guests. Encourage guests to try featured dishes or beverages and upsell additional items when appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Must be 16+ years old. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods. Work hours may vary depending on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
