Catering Attendant

Full job description

The Catering Attendant supports Skechers' on-site corporate events, meetings, and daily refreshment service. This role involves managing catered meals and refreshments, maintaining service areas and coffee stations, and assisting with event space preparation. The position requires collaboration with various teams, adherence to food safety standards, and a focus on meeting staff and guest needs.

This role is also responsible for creating a friendly, positive work environment and a first-class guest experience.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for the pick-up, set-up, and clean-up of catered meals and refreshment across multiple Skechers buildings
• Maintain clean service areas, e.g., clearing, cleaning tables, floors, etc.
• Manage the coffee service in multiple Skechers buildings and collaborating with housekeeping staff on coffee machine up-keep
• Assist in the preparation and set-up of showrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces for corporate events and meetings
• Participate in pre-event meetings with the catering team to ensure a thorough understanding of event timelines, logistics, and any special requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand staff and guest requirements, event details, and specific dietary needs
• Work closely with Corporate Services team to fulfill all department requests
• Maintain food safety standards and Skechers’ standards for freshness
• Attend all scheduled employee and department meetings
• Treat all management and fellow team-members with respect to support a healthy and positive team environment
• Comply with the department’s uniform requirements and maintain a professional presence
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

• Food Handler Certification
• Able to work on-site 5 days/week
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
• Strong customer service skills
• Good communication skills (both written and oral)
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, quick-moving environment
• Ability to work overtime hours when necessary

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a hospitality or food service setting preferred

The pay range for this role is $28-$30/hr USD.
