Member service activities take place at their nonprofit community-based host sites and include community health worker tasks, digital health navigator tasks, and/or medical interpreter tasks such as COVID-19 response, care coordination, case management, health education, outreach coordination, and patient navigation. Members are assigned a host site mentor who provides mentorship, supervision, and access to professional development opportunities at the host site. Members also participate in ongoing professional development, team-building, and will earn a Certificate of Completion in Community Health Work from Delaware Technical & Community College, and have opportunity for optional outside/group service activities through their NHC program.
