Develop and implement programs, projects and activities designed to increase and retain membership in the club, help new members become involved and feel welcome, and make all members feel valued and appreciated. Represent the club in its relationships with numerous external constituencies. Plan (with the Membership Committee and Social & Entertainment Committee) and execute all member social events, be present to attend to members' needs and take video photographs and be active in social media.


  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management/or related field of study or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in membership development and creation at a country club or in the social entertainment industry

  • Exceptional communication skills, an energetic and engaging demeanor, and be service oriented

  • Excellent personal presentation, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills


  • Develops and creates content that amplifies key messages that tells a story consistent with our country club brand identity, while managing and monitoring the club's presence on Social Media networks (primarily Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn) in conjunction with input and support from the General Manager

  • Develops and maintains a successful Web App for members interaction

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social media networks ensuring maximum effectiveness

  • Maintains the club's database of member files and the club's history

  • Assures that established procedures for processing new member applications are consistently followed

  • Process all requests for membership; assists prospective members in fulfilling application requirements

  • Conducts orientation program for new members

  • Holds prospective member functions; conducts tours for prospective members

  • Calls and requests active members to make personal referrals and to assist with recruitment efforts

  • Follows-up on telemarketing efforts, member referrals, leads from staff, newspaper articles, lists, etc.

  • Organizes production of membership kits and flyers

  • Processes member change requests, including resignations; coordinates exit interview and informs members of their options

  • Effectively responds to member comments in accordance with club standards, policies and rules; uses ideas, feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the services provided to members

  • Reports approved new members to controller to initiate proper administration of their memberships. Insures the applications are completely and properly filled out, that initiation fees are collected and that new members understand the privileges and costs of becoming a member

  • Develops and adheres to a departmental budget; after approval, monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained

  • Researches the need for on-going sales promotions regarding demographics, market segmentation data

  • Tracks the success and overall performance of all membership activities

  • Coordinates production of the club newsletter and other promotional mailings

  • Assesses the need for and makes recommendations regarding membership classifications to help ensure that the needs of ever-changing markets are met

  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all member information

  • Is present during club operating hours and events to assist in meeting and greeting members and guests.

  • Surveys other clubs for information useful in setting and revising club membership policies

  • Provides notices and agenda for and invites and maintains minutes of the club's membership committee

  • Maintains club's member bulletin boards

  • Works with department heads to be present at major events to greet members and guests, take photos and post on social media

  • Coordinates development of the social activities and social calendar for the club

  • Interacts with local Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations to enhance and promote the Club image and reputation

  • Serves as staff liaison on the Membership Committee and the Social & Entertainment Committee

  • Coordinates, with the Social & Entertainment Committee, the development of social activities/calendar for the club, including arranging and booking entertainment or special speakers when applicable, choosing and purchasing gifts, favors and prizes, decorating, attending to greet members, take photos and assist in meeting member needs; work with Chef and food & beverage department on menu selection, room set-up and registration

  • Coordinates board holiday party, including arranging for photography of new board members, ordering gifts and plaques

  • Regularly updates the "messages on hold" with upcoming club events and promotions

  • Any other duties as requested by the General Manager
