Job Description

  • Assist General Manager is overall operations and general organization in the restaurant.
  • Responsible for management and server duties, including managing floor operations, maintain customer service standards, improve and uphold customer relations, provide support to staff with their duties.
  • Familiarity with restaurant positions, including serving, expoditing, bartending, and general back-of-house positions. Ideal candidates should be comfortable assisting in all positions.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Hands-on supervision of staff, scheduling, ordering, controlling costs, and working to provide great customer experiences and relationships.
  • 1 year of full-service restaurant experience.
  • Office computer knowledge (web browsers, Microsoft Office) and general "tech-savvy".
  • Experience with POS system (Micros preferred), wireless ordering device experience a plus.
  • Sports knowledge a plus
  • Reliable transportation to/from work
  • Servsafe Food Handler status current.
  • LEADs or STAR training required or expected during training
  • Ordering/scheduling experience in similar work environment a plus.
  • Positive personality is key to this position, as is flexibility with a changing environment. The restaurant industry is a constantly changing landscape, and the Barney's Beanery concept requires personnel that can work in a structured system while also being an engaged self-starter.
  • Ability to exhibit good judgement under pressure is necessary.
  • Willingness to work in hands-on environment, including serving customers directly when needed.
